My political supporters’ gathering was held at the Constitution Memorial Center located in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, on June 24. Thanks to the many supporters who gathered, I was encouraged to further promote my political campaign with confidence and courage for the forthcoming general election of members of the House of Representatives in fall. This gathering was initially scheduled to be held on May 20, but it had to be postponed to June 24 due to the coronavirus infections and the government’s announcement of a state of emergency in Tokyo. I sincerely apologized for the inconvenience which this postponement had caused.
I was also encouraged by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Taro Aso, Chairperson of the LDP’s Research Commission on the Tax System Akira Amari, and Chairperson of the LDP’s Research Commission on Foreign Affairs Seishiro Eto, and Acting Chairperson of the LDP’s Policy Research Council Satsuki Katayama. In response, I expressed my determination that I will definitely win the forthcoming election. I am grateful to all my supporters for their cooperation and understanding.
