While almost all countries in the world are now at the height of struggling with the new coronavirus pandemic, China does not stop its hegemonic ambitions in both the East China Sea and the South Shina Sea, and it should never be allowed. In the Senkaku Islands in the East China Sea, China’s coastal guard vessels have frequently entered the contiguous zone and intruded into the territorial waters around the Islands for the past few months to provoke Japan militarily. In the South China Sea, China is expanding its hegemony occupying many islands including the Paracel Islands and Spratly Islands, and the sovereignties of these islands are disputed between China and its neighboring countries. However, the nations of these countries are currently occupied with engaging in their efforts to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus infection and in the medical care for patients with the new coronavirus infection.
As to the question where the origin of the new coronavirus was, it was initially said to be a fresh food market in Wuhan City, China, but recently US-China tensions are rising over the origin of the new coronavirus. The US government insists that the new coronavirus originated from the Wuhan Institute of Virology, and that since China has hidden the information, it is China to be blamed, and that China should apologize to the world and compensate all the countries that are affected by the new coronavirus. China has entirely rejected the US demand, and explains as if the coronavirus were brought to Wuhan City by the US army.
Since China has controlled the domestic spread of the new coronavirus earlier than the rest of the world, it is planning to become a donor country to assist other countries in taking measures for the prevention of the new coronavirus infection. Nonetheless, we should not allow China’s military provocation concerning the territories and territorial waters of other countries. We should protest against China’s military provocation mentioned above.
