It was excellent to reach an agreement on all issues, and I was relieved to have served as the co-chair of the Meeting without a hitch. In addition, the joint work between my staff at the Ministry of the Environment and those at the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry headed by Minister Seko, went smoothly.

The details of the Meeting were widely reported through TV and newspapers in and out of Japan, and it enlightened many people on their recognition of the issues of energy and environment.
