Received Finnish Minister of Economic Affairs Mika Lintilä at my office.
Finnish Minister of Economic Affairs, Mika Lintilä, accompanied by some members of a 19-member delegation from major enterprises of Finland, recently visited my office. This delegation aims at promoting exports of Finnish products to Japan and furthering international cooperation between our two countries.
The year 2019 marks the 100th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between Finland and Japan. I have long known Finland which is famous for its highly advanced technologies and superior welfare for its people.
I promised the Minister to help further promote friendship and goodwill exchanges between our two countries throughout various sectors. With regard to the environment, I mentioned to the Minister that I had also met with Finnish Minister of the Environment, Energy and Housing Kimmo Tiilikainen at the Second World Circular Economy Forum which was held in Yokohama in late October of 2018. We exchanged our views on environmental issues.
At the end of our meeting, Minister Lintilä invited me to visit Finland.
