I attended a large party of ‘Shikokai’ as a Diet member. About 7,000 to 8,000 people participated in the party which was almost double the number last year, thanks to the further increase in the Diet members in ‘Shikokai’ for the past year. Many supporters of my Tokyo office also contributed to increasing the members of ‘Shikokai’.

Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, Secretary-General of the LDP Toshihiro Nikai, and many other distinguished guests attended the party. In his speech, Minister Taro Aso stressed, “This policy group is positioned in the center of the Abe regime,” and being proud of

‘Shikokai’, he was determined to dedicate himself to this policy group.

However, we, members of the LDP, are not optimistic about the current political situation. Under various issues to cope with, both the LDP and the Abe regime are now facing the political crisis which we have never experienced in the past. In fact, the Abe regime’s support rate is sharply decreasing and people’s reliance on the LDP is also declining. Apart from celebrating the party, we should do the best to overcome the current political crisis with all our hearts.
